'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Is Reexamined

The news article on Early Bird from the LA Times says that Washington DC is relooking the don't ask don't tell.
Do you think it is time to allow gays and lesbians to serve openly?

No I believe the current policy is the best action to take right now. There is still a large social stigma that surrounds homosexuality when you get beyond the glitz of television and Hollywood. Eventually this issue will come to pass, but it was only 50 years ago that a man could be arrested for talking to another man about provactive material in a bar and be charged with homosexuality. The current policy seems to pacify this issue whre in ten to twenty years, this will not even be a topic.
